BLANDÓN Trunk Show Miami: Success

BLANDON Miami Trunk Show

trunk show“: a special sale in which vendors present merchandise directly to store personnel or select customers at a retail location or another unique venue. In many cases it allows store personnel to preview and/or purchase merchandise before it is made available to the public. It is particularly desirable to have the actual designer present at the event. Most small businesses do this to get more buys.-Wikipedia

Our intimate trunk show held in Miami this past July turned out to be a success!  The afternoon was filled with fashion, camaraderie, and lots of champagne!  Attendees where able to view, sport, and purchase a few of our Fall 2012 collection.  We thank each and every individual that participated and attended the show.  Special gratitude to our dear friends Christopher Martinez for so graciously opening the doors to his home by hosting the event and to Sandra Morales for supplying her photography skills and time creating some vivid…

Street Photography = Everyday life

A few months ago I went to Downtown Miami with the idea to take a few photos. In a way I like this area,  to me it has a unique feeling. It is a mix of the old and the new. There are some old historical buildings, with beautiful architecture. In contrast some new ones buildings, a few trendy little cafes or restaurants, with all kinds of people. I like doing street photography, its more natural, and of course it documents what is happening in a public space. Street photography is not easy, and sometimes I can feel shy about it. I don’t want people to feel I am ‘violating’ their personal privacy or space. And since I respect that, I have stopped many times from taking a good shot (at least in my mind). For now, I wanted to share these photos. Hope you enjoy them.

Do you believe in miracles?

by Sandra Morales

According to Dictionary.com a miracle is “an effect or extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers and is ascribed to a supernatural cause.” It continues to say that such “an effect or event manifesting or considered as a work of God.” The concept of a miracle can be deep, spiritual, but I will simply say I believe in them. Recently took this photo and thought about what it means to believe in a miracle, what it takes for them to happen. They take work. And they happen everyday, believe it or not. Let’s hope for a great week, and let’s work hard to achieve our goals, with or without a miracle.

We all have problems and struggles in our everyday life. Even broken dreams and the feelings of hopeless and loneliness can fill our heart. Despite all, we have to keep going and keep dreaming, because in the end something good can happen. I want to share today this cute photo I took. Hope your   weekend is filled with lots of smiles.
