I want to share with you the wonderful work of my friend and talented fashion designer Lesly Blandon. After several years of being in the fashion business which helped him grow as a designer and stylist, he has created his own label named BLANDON. BLANDON has a young designer at heart and spirit. He designs women’s clothes which I would describe as simple lines with a touch of elegance. After all, we women want clothes that don’t take an enormous amount of effort or time to get ready, yet we want to achieve an amazing result and look our best. That is what BLANDON is, well designed fitted pieces that make you look and feel fabulous. To learn more about BLANDON check out their blog:http://blandonblog.wordpress.com/
I did the photography for BLANDON Spring Collection 2010, and I want to share some of these photos today. This was the first time I did a fashion photo shoot, it was quite a responsability. Our model was Deborah Lindenfeld, she also did an amazing job. I have to say I love this project very much.
A few weeks ago I received an email from this lady that lives in Australia. She had seen my set of photos named “Bliss” on my portfolio online, and she was interested in buying one of the images to be used in her wedding invitation (she is getting married in September). She also said that this image “represent the bliss and sunshine that is our pending marriage”. I’m so happy that the first photo I sold, is going to be used for such an important event. I’m so happy knowing my work inspired someone! So today, I want to share one of my photographs from the set “Bliss”, the one I sold to this lady and that she will use on her wedding invitation. (Photos of the invitation are pending). I want to wish everyone a great week, and hope my photo inspires you in some way.
These are part of my street photography from back in 2010. I’m from Nicaragua, but these photos are from a town called Granada. Granada is a beautiful colonial city, but as you may already know, there is also a lot of poverty. Today I wanted to share a few of these. I’ll be sharing more of this city, and also the beautiful side of it in another posting. Please bear with me, since I am still trying to figure out what my blog should be like, but yet, I have photos of different themes.
I actually won a contest with this photo (“Another Day”), from a photography group here in Miami (Shoot Miami); there were also other winners. The group is joined by either professional or amateur photographers, anyone that loves to shoot and learn.
